About Me
Born and raised in the vibrant cosmopolitan city of Hong Kong, my multicultural journey was enriched with diversity and global perspectives. At the age of 12, I embarked on a transformative move to India, further shaping my personality in a new and dynamic environment. These formative years have instilled in me adaptability while broadening my worldview and nurturing my ability to navigate social and cultural settings with ease.
International Relations and Business (in Fashion) are of specific interest to me as I have been able to closely follow important issues in different parts of the world (e.g. the Umbrella movement in Hong Kong, the removal of article 370 in Kashmir, the international implications of the COVID pandemic to name a few). Being a part of Model United Nations gave me a perfect avenue to debate world issues which excites and motivates me. I am particularly humbled and proud to have received an award at the Harvard Model United Nations India on August 24th, 2024 for the most “Determined Delegate”! It is special for me because it is for a “personality trait”. Where there is a will there’s a way and that is the approach with which I pursue all that I am passionate about.
Summer School at Parsons allowed me to experience the world of design and creativity and enabled me to immerse myself in a fast paced, intense environment. It also got me to think about the business side of Fashion. My internship this past summer at Vanilla Moon, a luxury shoe brand in India, further cemented this interest.
I am driven by a deep-seated ambition to make a difference in school and in my community. All my pursuits in high school aligned with the way I like to live life, whether enabling impact through the literacy project and my internships, or teamwork in sports or being able to express myself on stage through drama and dance. I have enjoyed being an active participant in my Boarding school community. I believe my rich tapestry of experiences positions me as a unique candidate ready to contribute meaningfully to the collegiate community.
