MUN
One of my key extracurricular activities is participating in Model United Nations also known as MUN. An educational simulation where students learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations
I have actively participated in multiple MUN conference as a student delegate such as the NHSMUN which is the National High School Model United Nations , the Harvard Model United Nation and many inter school events where I played a crucial role as a student delegate. I was exposed to varied discussions. These experiences resonated with me deeply. They enabled me to connect on myriad fronts with the community.
I travelled to cities such as Bangalore, New Delhi, and New York and have been exposed to pressing global issues.
Through MUN, I have gained a deep understanding of the UN’s structure, its various committees, and their relevance. This experience has allowed me to learn about different countries’ roles and contribution on the world stage.
MUN also provided me with opportunities to meet diverse people and engage in meaningful discussions with peers. It has empowered me, giving me a sense control and confidence in my ability to navigate complex topics, and advocate for solutions.
I am particularly humbled and proud of an award I just received from the Harvard Model United Nations India on August 24th, 2024. It is an award for the most “Determined Delegate”! The reason why this is even more special for me is that it is not an academic or sport award but for a quality.
